Our Areas of Action
Eight complementary areas of action serving the environment and communities of Chad.
Environmental Protection
We work to preserve natural ecosystems: preventing environmental risks, monitoring fragile areas and directing people toward existing protection mechanisms.
Reforestation
We organise tree-planting campaigns with local communities to restore degraded soils and fight deforestation.
Combating Desertification
We support rural communities in land restoration and sustainable soil management to slow the advance of the desert.
Waste Management
We promote sorting, collection and responsible treatment of waste, with pilot community composting projects.
Biodiversity Protection
We carry out monitoring and awareness activities around wetlands and local species, working with fishers and herders.
Environmental Awareness
We run workshops in schools, markets and neighbourhoods to inform people about actions that protect the environment.
Combating Climate Change
We raise awareness of the effects of climate change in Chad and promote adaptation practices among vulnerable communities.
Sustainable Development
We support communities toward economic and social practices that respect the environment and its resources.
A coordinated approach
Areas of action that reinforce one another
Raising awareness without acting on the ground, or planting trees without supporting communities over time, is not enough. ANPETD organises its areas of action around participatory monitoring of every project.
